I don’t think I have said it enough number of times. I don’t think any number of times would be enough, either. Thinking of reasons why I feel like that about you is not easy either. Here is an attempt at a non exhaustive list
10. You love me when I am cribbing
9. You smile at me first thing in the morning
8. You are right, most of the times. Okay, all of the times.
7. You taste super. Even after a beer and smoke.
6. You are the cutest babe around
5. You are HOT. Period.
4. MY own Calvin Klein model.
3. You let me play angry birds.
2. You can read my mind just like that, in the blink of an eye.
1. You make me happy. So happy.
Okay, finally, we have reached this patch too. The rough patch, love. It’s like the kind of stage when you are just about getting comfortable with each other, and then it hits you. And hits you real bad too. That where is the romance. Well, not the romance ‘romance’, but the other type of it.
Okay, now we are comfortable in our sweats around each other. Un-waxed legs are also not too much of a problem, em, at least for me. Eating with hands is cool. Family stories are no longer hush-hush. Other friends are, well, the others now.
It’s alright and all that, until an email from astrology.com shows up(and wakes me up) that says

Best friends alright, but where did the lovers vanish, mon chéri?!
Sector 31, gurgaon.
This is a very small market. Developed by HUDA in sector 31, gurgaon.
I love it cuz it had the old world charm of markets like the ones in
There are a few departmental stores, Spencers, Reliance Fresh and what not. Even a Next store (the electronics retail chain).
It has a Café coffee day and Om Sweets as the main eateries.
But that is not why we went there.
That day was specially earmarked for roadside food. Yay!
The background – Being brought up here in
I thought we’d take away, get home and eat. But he had something else in mind.
After polishing off the very hot and tasty bhelpuri, we walked around and settled upon the south Indian food kiosk (comfort food for my south Indian boyfriend’s soul).
From the multitude of options from there, I chose a plain rava dosa and he had a masala dosa. Standing right there.
The food was alright. Nothing to write home about (so I won’t even venture into reviewing that), but the experience was super. It is a tiny stall run by a south Indian family. The wife being the cook cum server cum manager cum accountant cum the customer care end of it with the husband being the cook. She knows hindi, the husaband, I doubt does. The small cart lit with only the gas lamp was sure a crowd magnet. A lot of people came up to get stuff packed with a string of students eating there besides us as well.
Food : * *
Ambience : * * *1/2
Service : * * *1/2
Overall experience : * * * 1/2
p.s. : his thoughts post the meal – so now we have done your street food also. And yes, because of the weather, the experience was not bad at all.
I am touched.

Though it feels like forever, but a finger count tells me otherwise. It’s only been about 3 weeks that we’ve been living together. As in, after I have officially moved in.
And life is good.
Damn good.
We have fallen into a routine. Thank God for that. Though I goof up, once in a while and don’t wake up in time for work. But other than that we’re sorted. At least in this respect.
This is how our day unfolds.
For me
Stupid alarm disturbing my peace
At 6 in the morning
For even more stupider walk/jog/run
Need to lose weight
Shut up, erm, hit snooze
It’s 6.30
Still time for the stupid walk/jog/run
Still need to lose weight
Still shut up/ snooze
It’s 7
I need my sleep
Shut the F up, wouldja?
It’s 7.30
Dammit, we’re late
Scramble outta the bed. Rush to the bathroom, brush in the mouth, rush to the closet, he’s laughing at me, I smile back- trying hard to keep the brush in mouth, rush back to the bathroom.
Life still is good.
It’s six thiry, and he’s not here yet. I am concerned about my chhole, waiting for me, back there. Guess, I’ll call up and ask him to go ahead, I’ll get back home. I have things to do.
Called him.
He’s getting back home too. Doesn’t want to go either. Guess the wild party days are over for us.
Or are they? ;)
Al : What plans for tonight?
Nee : *pause
Nee : *have to make chhole(he likes ‘em). What to do about bhature? I’ll order, maybe.
Nee : umm, you tell me.
Al : N______ called. They’re playing at HRC tonight, want to go?
Nee : Ya sure, let’s go. * what would I do about the chhole that were boiled in the morning, but not in the fridge. Dammit. Would get spoilt by the time we return. When would be return, I was thinking of hitting the bed by ten!!
Are gone the days
When what plans for tonight
Made me wonder about the
Movie
Restaurant
Pub
We going to
When plans had
More to do with
Alcohol n dancing
Than with
What’s not in the fridge..
And rotting?!
Not all's gone, my dear friends.
Whatever said and done
It's still a date
at least till the clock strikes ten!
We’re going out tonight.
Yay!
Yay because, it is a weeknight. Yay because, I have not gone out in a long time now. Yay because, it was unexpected, unplanned and sudden.
Al called up to ask about my plans for the night. Except for cooking chhole for him(he likes ‘em, very much), I didn’t have any. Weeknight, you see. One of his friend is playing at HRC. He called to ask him to come over. So we are going.
Feels like a date.
Dammit, in retrospect, should have blown dried the hair in the morning and worn those ear rings kept right there.
I am excited, nervous, scared, happy, excited, nervous, happy, excited, nervous, happy. Oh, someone remind me to be a little scared too, wouldja please?!
Yep. I am moving in. Moving in with my bf of a little more than a year. Am I insane? Maybe I am. But, what the heck. Bring it on, life. I’m here to live. And to live.
